I think we will start to see this in coming years. Unless the mafia known as NCAA are put in check somehow.

Let that also be a lesson to NFL teams who even think of tanking to grab some hot prospect. I think the Dolphins dispensed of any rumors that they might be tanking. And the Bungles almost pulled off the upset in Oakland today. The Jets have won 2 in a row, and the Redskins and Haskins are just plain garbage. So I don't think any teams are actually tanking right now.

It usually doesn't work out anyway. Luck quit early, but he didn't help the Colts win jack squat anyway. He made the Colts pass on Mannings final years and he went on to help the Broncos get to 2 Super Bowls and win one. Luck made it to what, 1 deflategate AFFCG? RG3 didn't work out either. I remember Vikings fans wanting to tank for him, and Johnny Manziel LMAO. You only tank to get rid of tumors like Tice, Childress, and Frazier. *thumb_up*

Wonder how that will affect any QB propects (5 star draft picks that Saban has recruited). Could be interesting.

I don't understand why teams would have tanked for him in the first place. If you watch Alabama, the first thing that really strikes you is how much more physically talented they are then most of their opponents. Their receivers, offensive lineman, running backs. 5 star prospects one and all.

So Tagovailoa starts every game with a huge edge, and his stats and record look great. Until they don't. Until the two or three games a year they play someone comparable to them. Did anyone actually watch LSU/Bama? Talk about padding stats. Or the CFP Championship against Clemson? SEC Championship Game against UGA? He's 1 for 4 in the biggest games of his career, and he's the Can't Miss Kid?

Throw in a hip injury that could affect his already not great mobility-he isn't the runner some people seem to think he is. He's a classic drop back passer-he isn't Drew Bledsoe but he ain't Russell Wilson. Think Baker Mayfield... how is his running looking when you replace Texas Tech's defense with New England's?

The guy is a first-round prospect for sure, but a tankable one? Andrew Luck? No way. Cincinnati will have their choice of any QB they want in 2020-Tagovailoa's injury simply scratches one name off a list they'd have already been looking at-and I am not sure he should have been at the top of it.

So are you a Burrow believer then? He's an interesting case of a guy who was seen as a mid-level prospect before the year started, but now everyone has him as a 1st round pick. From what I've read, many scouts still think he's a 2nd round talent at best.

I think that's a mistake IMO. If he's going to risk further injury, at least get paid doing it. 2021 is the first year Trevor Lawrence is eligible for the draft and I don't see Tua beating him for the #1 QB prospect.

That's the thing, at the beginning of the season it was Tua, Herbert and Fromm-who I all see as better prospects than Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones or Dwayne Haskins.

I didn't really know much about Burrow, because LSU right? Plodding, run-based, boring offense that is just ugly to watch while their defense absolutely destroys you. And I think a lot of scouts had the same opinion. Why bother to watch LSU when you know their QB will disappoint at the NFL-level. But watching them against Auburn, then Alabama-Burrow is every bit the prospect that Tagovailoa is. He's bigger, just as athletic. Tagovailoa's arm is probably slightly better, but Burrow's arm is more than strong enough. And, Burrow went into that match-up and dominated. I know it ended 46-41, but LSU led 33-13 before Bama cut it to 33-26-and then Burrow answered, and answered again. I think he is the real deal.

Probably more than 1/2 will fail.
