Sloter To Move On To ... ???

Who TO THIS DAY still has not played a down in the NFL. I think, by definition you have to at least...you know...play, before earning the "up and coming" label.

Do we have to go over this again? Did you, or did you not see Sloter play with your own 2 eyes? Should I pull up the quote again where you agreed with me about him earning a chance at the next level? You're going to believe what this dysfunctional franchise says behind closed doors over what you saw with your own 2 eyes? You're going to trust what the other 31 teams say even though you know they get the QB position wrong all the time?

This guy earned the #1 job in Washington by beating out a Heisman Trophy Winner

You mean the Heisman trophy winner who suffered a gruesome injury and was never the same again? The same Heisman winner who got his job back over Cousins after that gruesome injury, where he prove he wasn't the same guy anymore, which is when Kirk finally "beat him out"? You mean that Heisman winner?

Cousins got his sh*t together and kept the job in Washington and has started every game of consequence since 2015.

He's started every game of consequence since, and how has that worked out for those 2 teams? 1 whole playoff win. If you could do the past 3 years over again, knowing the trophy case remains empty with Kirk "Heisman Trophy Slayer" Cousins, you're saying you wouldn't instead give Sloter his shot? The Vikings could very well go 3-13 each of those 3 years with Sloter, but the trophy case can't get any emptier, so why not take the chance? Oh right, hindsight. How about this then ... we know the trophy case is going to remain empty with HTS the next 3 years too, so why not give someone else a shot?

Say that's he's timid, panicky, high-strung...all that may be true. But the guy is a competitor who hasn't lost a position battle with anyone during his time in the NFL.

I seem to remember the Redskins wanting to run him out of town, and Redskins fans trying to warn us. What guy who has made it to this level isn't a "competitor" anyway? Doesn't matter. I don't care if he's the super greatest competitor in the NFL, his results speak for itself. The garbage time king has ZERO hardware, or as much as Sloter does. What would Sloter accomplish if someone gave him 103 starts like Kirk? Once again, can't be worse than ZERO.

That isn't what happens to guys who fear "competition" or "up and coming young hotshots" especially when that guy is Kyle Sloter.

Why did we get rid of Sloter then and not Mannion? Could it have anything to do with the fan popularity that Sloter earned? Why did he earn so much popularity anyway? Is it the handsome smile? Did it have something to do with what he did in meaningless preseason games? Why would the Vikings ditch the fan favorite QB to keep a bottom feeding dud like Mannion? It wasn't to save money. Perhaps they were trying to avoid something else? *skeptic*

On Friday, Gruden was given another quarterback project when the Las Vegas Raiders signed Kyle Sloter to a reserve/future contract. The Raiders been signing several players in the past couple of weeks, and Sloter will now be part of the Raiders’ offseason program with a strong chance to go to training camp. He is likely a candidate to be on the 2021 practice squad.

Sloter is currently projected to be Las Vegas' 3rd string QB with Carr and Mariota on the team. *drunk*

#6. If you're ever wondering about this for other players, Wikipedia (surprisingly) is a great source, they show were the player was, for how long, and if they were never active on gameday.

It's just going to make his playing career and HoF speech that much more compelling. *thumb_up*

Think of all the things he's learning, schemes, playbooks etc, being around all these different coaches. After his HoF playing career he might have a HoF coaching career soon after.
