Who do you mean by his Kirk's? If so he isn't going to give up guaranteed money. You do what NO does you are screwed even farther. Brees will make 21.3 million and he doesn't even need to play this year or he could play for another team plus get the 21 million from NO. So yes it does change "things" NO also has to account for his 21.3 mill hit plus add the new total of his deal in 2020.

That frees up money now... and yes, I said as much about the hit coming a year later. I have no problems with that if they want to load up... and they may have to as they need help at too many spots. I could definitely see grabbing a DT and/or CB via FA and addressing OL, DE, QB, and some developmental defense in the draft.
It isn't going to happen and never will in a fully guaranteed contract. It hasn't nor will it ever change no matter how many times you try to legitimize it.
