Depends on who and what. Cousins is not AR OR TB now or in their prime. If they do not surround with a GREAT TEAM, He cannot get it done. He is not good enough.
If you have to do that how great are they? That is the issue I have always had. If things need to be perfect it would be pretty easy for any QB to look good. A GREAT TEAM is helped by a GREAT QB. Teams that are constantly good have a good system in place and look for players that have the skills to make that system run.
What our problem has is moving parts never stay the same and we don't fit players to what system should work best. We always have a round peg and a square hole. When's the last time we have had players that fit the needs of a system or coaches/gm that can identify the talent needed.
We have a HC/DC that gets all his toys and breaks them and leaves the OC broken toys to try to fix.
he isnt great, that is the point. That is why i am opposed to extending him. He can win, with a great team, but he isnt carrying you to a victory on his own.
I would that much more like his oc's than not, until year. Their is an actual system. And you see it in the # of rookies partipating on offense. Number of people participating on offense.
My reference is really the 80's. Redskins and giants. Especially the redskins. Great defense. Mann, dexter, Green, Butz. The possy, tightends galore, GREAT OFFENSIVE LINE. Know what was missing? a Great running back, and a franchise qb.
