LOL! What I meant was that I think it makes some sense now why Nagy went all out to eliminate us since it got Pederson's team in. I'm not saying they lost to the eagles on purpose just that letting them in clearly back fired since the eagles went out and beat them. Nagy probably assumed they could beat either team so why not do Pederson, his super close friend, a favor.

They could have had a week 17 bye and easily stomped a poorly coached Vikings team with a brand new offensive coordinator, massive flaws along the o-line, and a QB who's basically never won a big game. Instead they chose to play the battle hardened defending super bowl champs with proven playoff coaching? Seems strange to me if he wasn't trying to help his friend get in the playoffs. Again I'm sure he didn't think they would actually lose to the eagles... oops!

Plus, nobody throws games. Not even Pete Rose. It requires a loser mentality that winners don't have.

Yeah, no one has ever sat their starters in week 17 in a meaningless game ever! Oh wait, the Saints did just that and they even have a first round bye, guess they're just a bunch of losers... lmao.

You're not the only one questioning the decision; and you're also not the only one to make the Nagy-Pederson connection. Heck, that was blowing up beforehand. Whatever the reasoning was, I'm certain there is a significant percentage questioning the decision. Maybe there isn't some crazy backstory; maybe they were just playing to win/keeping their young team ready. Regardless, it's fair to second-guess the whole thing. The Eagles were hot; the Vikings were ice cold. The Bears were given the chance to choose their next opponent, ... I think Cousins and the Vikings would have been the way to go. It pains me to say that, but it's true! They effed up, and it bit them in the @$$!

Yeah, I thought the Bears would rest their starters for the second half (and they could have made the argument they were playing to win, they were keeping their young team ready, and they were getting some playing experience for some of the backups in preparation for a deep playoff run). All bases were covered and no one would have thought twice about it, especially considering how far the Rams were up. BUT, as much as that would have made sense, I have my doubts we could have even done enough in the second half against their backups to win the game, especially offensively. Ugh. What a disaster... lol Yay offseason hope!!!

Yeah, I knew what you meant. I think Danchat took it too far thinking you were talking about the playoffs as opposed to getting into the playoffs. No way Nagy or the Bears would let the Eagles win, but it is fair to assume Nagy would try a little harder against a divisional opponent in Week 17 with absolutely nothing to gain ... except for helping his buddy's team get in the playoffs. I'm sure they have a close friendship and a fun rivalry, but if that was the motivation AT ALL ... how friendly are they right now?! LOL Yikes...

Exactly this. Reignman has been venting about the level of stupidity...

Maybe the miss was karma? Let's be honest. That was so Vikings. Reign said he quit watching the game live and watched the ending later. He said he had hoped that the Bears missed a game-winning kick wide left. What a freak, right? Maybe ReignGod is a thing; but he needs to learn to use his powers to our advantage more often and not just randomly! lol.

Nothing would make me happier than if the Eagles beat the Saints and then got smoked next week. The only thing is ... I don't find the Rams all that special. BUT! they better get it done next week!!!
