I'm sure Marcus Sherels gave up at least 100 YAC.

One of the best sack teams in football, in total and efficiency, they said. It felt like we didn't lay a finger on Tom Brady, dude. These quick-release seasoned pros always crap on us.

"look at this tight window here (no defenders within 20 yards of Gordon)". Wow, where'd you find this guy? I think he's stealing my shtick. But yeah that's pretty close to how I'd sound if my posts were in audible form.

But no that's the perfect video to sum up what I was talking about when I compared the Patriots short passing to ours. Sure Tom is throwing short a lot, but look how open they are and how many yards they gain. I wouldn't mind a short passing game if it worked that well.

I just can't figure out if our D is schemed that bad against short passing, or if the Patriots recognized that weakness on film and took advantage of it. Probably both. I just hope JDF learned something from Josh Daniels after this game on how to run a short passing attack, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, as you mentioned, Sherels was in there and Waynes was already out.  Combined with Hughes not in there and facing the GOAT QB, the results are hardly unsurprising.  

The point to be taken is Zimmer pointing the finger at his offense is a bit offensive considering he can't stop a nose bleed and his vaunted DLine couldn't get a sack nor nary a pressure.  
Let's see how he rebounds from this.  It's on him now to bounce back in Seattle.  It's still a great opportunity to run the table and fix some things against winnable opponents.  But part of me believes they are teetering on disaster here.  This is a big game against Seattle.

He doesn't need to shake DFlip, he just needs to lead.  He needs to make clear what HE wants.  And this doesn't have to be through the media!  You can't criticize the offense AND be hands-off.  Take control.  Be a leader, not a whiner, Zim.  And BTW, he needs to clean his own mess on D 'cause it ain't looking too hot either.  

You make a great case of a team that might be vastly overrated and seeing the rest of the division getting their tails kicked in regularly validates that.  0-4 last week.  The Packers should have only two wins.  The Lions are a joke.  The Bears are clearly the class of the division.

It's hard to put my finger on the drastic change from last year's team considering losing virtually no one and adding more talent which is why I keep expecting this team to magically turn on the switch and look like a contender.  They haven't.
Shurmur leaving may have been a bigger loss than realized.  Is it Cousins? I doubt it but I could be wrong.  I'll wait until the season is over for such autopsies but for now it's clear that the 2017 team looked MUCH better than this one.
