Just feel with the current Oline the Vikings need a mobile QB. That is not Cousins.
That's the frustrating part. You don't pay $84 million dollars guaranteed to a statue if your OL isn't good to great. Not unless he's a Brady, Brees, or Manning who can get the ball out quickly and accurately! Just dumb. And definitely not when you have a couple cheaper, mobile QBs on the roster who you're familiar with ... ones who probably would have loved to stick around.
Who played OL for the Vikings last year? Why wasn't there half the b*tching about the OL that there is this year? Oh, because Keenum made plays and we were winning ball games. All those miraculous escapes that Keenum did last year are now sacks, short throws, backwards throws, etc.
Having a mobile QB is such a fricken weapon: Wilson, Trubisky, Rodgers, Newton, Mahomes, etc. All of these guys have wheels. They're able to buy a little extra time with their legs and then burn you with their arm ... or simply run for a few yards. OMG!!! TO HAVE THAT OPTION AGAIN! So jealous of some of these other teams. Having someone like Cousins, especially with a below average OL, was a big mistake from the start. I miss Keenum's Houdini-like moves so much. This is not to say that Keenum is a better overall QB than Cousins (but it's starting to look closer than originally thought), but he was probably the better option between the two, for this team.
