Sometimes I think all Zim cares about is how his defense looks.

I've been saying that since 2016, when by all appearances he wanted his defense to win the games and seemed perfectly content with a putt-putt offense. But it also could be that he's just completely clueless about how to develop a potent offense. Or a mix of both.

Smith could easily state an injury of that type is too much to recover from and take his cash.

Cousins is guaranteed through next season. The Vikings have to pay him and take the cap hit unless he is traded. I guess there may be some other coach and GM with enough hubris to believe they could make him better. Maybe Gruden would take him in ~~Oakland~~ Las Vegas.

I've been critical of the team and taken issue with opinions defending the team, which is sort of the point of forums, and you keep making it personal by attacking people holding those opinions. I don't care to continue down that road. It isn't personal.

Why absolutely not? If he fails this year, which I have no doubt he will, thats 6 years of failure. He has had enough time to show if hes a good HC, one that will take us to the SB. Ideally, for me, we would have found a way to keep Keenum and/or Teddy. But, I came to terms with the fact that there was too much uncertainty with Teddy's injury. I understood that. I also understood that he believed in himself enough to move on, where he felt he would eventually get a shot to be starter. The way things were going, that probably wasn't here. It hurt, but I understood it all.

Rumor has it that Zimmer actually preferred a healthy Bridgewater or even Bradford, but because of the uncertainty with their injuries/health, he actually leaned towards Keenum. Ultimately, we ended up with Cousins. Was that Zim's decision? I don't know. You tell me. Does it seem like Zimmer to give a QB he's never coached $84 million guaranteed? Yeah, pretty sure his bosses told him how it was going to be ... and to make it work.
