Most Disappointing

I would argue the D didn't even show up against San Fran. There were open receivers all over the place. Jimmy G threw that INT right to Smith more than Smith made a play. And when we forced fumbles, the Vikings actually got on the ball. The last few weeks we forced a number of fumbles but couldn't get on the ball, even when there were more purple jersey's in the area. In fact on most of the fumbles there was only 1 opponent in the area and that opponent always managed to fall on the ball in a sea of purple, whether it was our fumble or theirs.

The front 4 also managed to generate more pressure because the 49ers OL was a mash unit. Watching the Rams game again, I noticed Goff had a ton of time to throw from the pocket. Deep plays take time to develop so Goff can't make those throws if our front 4 is getting home. Part of that might be because Griffen is out. Smith is no longer getting home when he blitzes either, teams have got that figured out, and he's easily neutralized with a RB. The double A gap blitz has also been figured out. It turns out the only real secret with the Z-fense is, if you buy your QB that extra second, you can easily pick it apart. We need to get back to rattling the QB.

It is the worst record through the first 4 games since Zim got here! I see what we are getting at though. Dont overreact to the first 4 games.

We're at the halfway point now. What's most disappointing for you?

4 wins through 8 games. In each loss/tie it has been a different part of the team that has failed. Which in unencouraging.
