I was never excited about it, but gave it a chance, and now I'm worried Rick/Zim are going to just hand him the #2 for reasons. Not saying Sloter would do anything against NFL starting defenses either, but at least he looks like a QB out there and not a scared little mouse. I think he'd give us a better chance than Siemian if not gain some valuable experience if Cousins goes down. Siemian already has experience and it hasn't done him any good. Rick better be shopping around for a QB this week, and maybe a kicker.

Shopping for a QB? Why not make Sloter the backup and keep around Siemian as the #3 in your scenario? I don't feel like they need to add another body there.

I must have missed whatever Trevor did in Denver that made people think he wasn't hot garbage. Looking forward to that all plays for Slowter Reignman

it's 7 straight preseason games where he looks like the best player on the field.

i understand why they like him and didn't just hand him the #2 job.....but i think he has a legit case now.  maybe he doesn't shine in practice?  ponder did.

anyway, he's on the roster....if cousins should go down and siemian is the guy, i'll wager he'll be on a short leash.

What hope does Siemian give you lol? He hasn't looked good in any game yet and seems to be getting worse, and he hasn't even been going up against starting defenses. I can't get that Ponderesque 3rd quarter out of my head. He's hearing footsteps. Not good. Doesn't look like he has any confidence either. Every time they showed a closeup of his face, he looked like he'd rather be somewhere else. And that pass he threw right at the leaping defender LOL. What was that? I gotta go watch the tape again, cuz how do you not get a pass around the guy right in front of you? And that fumble? Maybe the defender touched it, it was hard to tell, but looked like he just dropped it trying to scramble.

And did he throw anything more than 5 yards downfield? I don't think he did last week either. I remember only 2 against Denver. You can't tell me that's all play calling. I know it's only preseason and things are vanilla, but I'm seeing all these other QB's around the league taking occasional shots downfield. Even Teddy.

We just gotta hope Cousins stays healthy all year because I think we're screwed if he goes down. I don't see another Keenum on the roster unless it's Sloter. It certainly isn't Siemian. Keenum looked good in preseason last year. I remember commenting on his aggressiveness. He took more shots downfield than anyone and had some success with it.
