Let's not forget Darrin Nelson and the infamous dropped pass in the late 80's. I think we all learned new words that day.
Troy Williamson for sure is on the WR list. Total bust.
I thought the Vikings would go for Johnson, Ware, or Merriman at seven. After Braylon Edwards, Mark Clayton was the next receiver on my board, and he was an end of first or top of second value. My 2005 draft would have been Derrick Johnson at seven and Aaron Rodgers with pick 18. I said so at the time, so I am sticking with it. I know, Johnson did not end up as good as Ware or Merriman, but I cannot change my picks after the fact. Barring a trade, Clayton would have been gone before round two. I had Williamson as a late second or early third round pick. In hindsight, he would have been a bust there too.
Ponder has got to be the worst QB, and kudos for all the coaches that have kept him perpetuating a downward spiral (not a football spiral, mind you)
Ron VanderKelen may be a good selection as well. When Norm Van Brocklin bench Fran Tarkenton prior to his trade to the Giants, Ron VanderKelen started in his place. He was named the starter in 1967, before he had to be replaced by Bob Berry.
Mike Tice for worst coach. Even though his record wasn't the worst, he had NO CONTROL over his team.
Red McCombs wins the cheapskate award, hands down.

In the end, it is neither of them as worst head coach. Les Steckel has to win worst head coach for sure.
Mike Lynn has to win the award for worst GM or owner. The Herschel Walker trade is the worst trade in professional sports history.
