I heard Tark on KFAN today, seems Tarkenton is making the rounds, mainly CNN and Erin Burnett. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if I like what he is saying though I like him.
Tarkenton went a bit into his rag on the NFL mode and maybe it's justified,
Concussions, NFL knew it but stuck it to the players and didn't say what they knew. It reminds me of the way they say cigarette companies knew smoking was bad but kept the research confidential. I think they say that.
The thing is, if we look at it, say NFL is bad, etc. then we are simply not going to have NFL football to watch and no one wants that. I certainly don't want to say this is needed. But I respect Fran nonetheless.

Tarkenton also said when he played, he'd get a shot of some drug for his shoulder and when Tarkenton retired at 39, doctors told him he had the shoulder of a 75 year old man.
