Adrian Peterson

I don't think he has the photo's of his son. Those were taken by someone else and sent to the Grand Jury. Would he have copies of them? I doubt it. His case never got to the discovery phase so the only people who have them are whoever took them and the grand jury. Now, legally, he can't get them from the grand jury. So it will be interesting to see what happens since the NFL has asked for any photo's he has.

For me, the needs of the Vikings are a secondary.

That stated, anything more than six games is a bit extreme, and it helps no one. 

Also, six game checks is plenty.

But he's already confessed to the pics.

I think they suspend him for a misdameanor, whatever is standard. Pics shouldn't weigh into it.

But i'm curious to see if they will......still pretty messy.

as I said before, sounds like meddling by the commish and wanting to drag his feet and make an example out of AP because of his status in the league. After all nothing makes people conform like punishing a high ranking official... (or public figure, super star, etc)

No the problem is that people who don't work in courtroom has to make people who commit crimes suffer after they've already paid their dues. Whether it's the commish, the endorsers, or just fans like us, they refuse to just let the courtroom do their job. But no everyone feels entitled to punish criminals. Though I think it's foolish to think Peterson is a criminal for whooping his son, something that has been legal in most states for years. I remember back in middle, teachers were allowed to whoop us till our asses were red.

There are those of you who believe that physical discipline is the wrong way. But those of you who have never been disciplined only here the bad things. Just like those who've been discipline physically always here mostly bad things about bad kids who never been hit by their parents before. I'm going to simply put it this way. There are some kids that can be disciplined without getting hit and there are just some that are so damn bad that an ass whooping is in order. Not every kid can be disciplined the same.

In my experience getting your ass whooped like Peterson's kid was to ensure that you never did what you did again. And I've seen worse beatings than that. And usually kids who never got whopped before usually continued to act bad because they knew they wasn't going to suffer any harm. I mean timeout, taking away TV and video games, being grounded is nothing. Especially if you come from an house hold that isn't used to having much anyway. Not only are whoopings used to provoke enough fear in a child to prevent them from doing whatever they did again but it's too teach you that there are consequences for your actions. As a child it got you a whooping from a parent. Had it been from somebody else outside of their parents it could have been a fatal beating or gunshot wounds.

But of course those days of parents whooping their children are fading away. Now parents are being punished by the children. Labeled as child abusers. And you have to be crazy to think that Peterson plead guilty to a lesser charge because he really thought he abused his child. And I think that's what most people believe anyway. But it is what it is. That's why a lot of these children are so disrespectful to adults now. I know you guys see these many videos that go viral on the internet of kids using profanity towards and around adults. Kids back in the day knew that showing out wasn't worth the ass beating that came along with it. And I got older, my parents stopped whooping me once I became a teenager, then that's when the lectures came. As a smaller child those lectures may not always register in the average child's head. But as a teenager you're more able to mentally soak in the consequences and learn why they are bad.

I'm hipped though. If physical discipline gets deemed unlawful in all states on day then I'm all for it. But when more kids start misbehaving towards other adults and kids don't blame anyone else. The court room doesn't allow parents to be parents anymore. What is a parent going to do when his child is misbehaving. Take away a video game? Not let them go out with their friends? Taking away TV? Timeout? That sh*t doesn't work on every kid. If their patient enough, they'll be old enough to live by their own rules, continue misbehaving and not get things taken away from them.
