Lol, you didn't understand what you were reading, and now your essentially intimating we can outright avert the the salary cap.
What you saw was several websites showing how we could structure a deal to not lose our stars until later down the road, or not lose our stars soon. Like the third time I've made this correction.
You pay it you cap it, it is just common knowledge what implications paying a QB record salary has on a teams cap.
It doesn't matter how hard some of you don't like it, if you think paying a QB top 3 salary isn't going to severely hamper our ability to retain a good portion of our core players at some point, then your in complete denial or don't understand how the cap salary works or what it is.
Who are those stars later down the road? We can pay Cousins $30 million and afford Diggs, Kendricks, Barr, and Hunter next year. So now we're moving the goalposts that a future star won't get paid 4+ years from now?
I know your upset im presenting reality, but please, no need to go trying to pretend I said things I never said. Noone is moving the goal posts because I never stated anything about us having to bear the brunt of Cousins cap implications in the next couple years if we structure it correctly. I said from the very beginning "The most we can do is structure it so that the cap hit is further down the road"
Around 4 years from now (and that is presupposing a certain type of structuring) the cap implications of Cousins deal are going to hit us and we will have severely limited cap resources to alot towards other areas of the team.
Sorry, this fantasy land where the salary cap mysteriously vanishes so that we aren't inhibited doesn't exist.
