Week 3: 2-0 Vikings at 2-0 Colts
Sharrif Floyd smashes Marcus Mariota on the first play of the game, and he loses the ball. Sometimes the CPU never gets a break.
The Vikings get to the 10, but on a 3rd down, Trey Smith risks it on a run and fumbles the ball away.
Perrish Cox makes a jumping interception on a play where I thought he was about to give up a 25 yard strike. Perhaps today is the beginning of Cox's resurgence.
The Colts' safeties, ages 34 and 35, just aren't fast enough to keep up with Mike Wallace.
Hilee Taylor seems to be competing with Floyd to see who gets the most sacks. Indy's O-line was overmatched from the first snap of the game.
Stefon Diggs gets by the safety Armstrong and flies in for a 39 yard TD, the Vikings' longest play from scrimmage today. The Vikings go to halftime with a 14-0 lead.
Howard had trouble finding room to run in the first half, but he finds a massive hole here.
Alright, so Howard fumbled the ball away and the Colts took it back for a TD, but I was going to challenge it... but then, guess what? The Colts challenged the play before I could!! The refs overturned the play and I got the football back, and the shutout was preserved. CPU, WTF was that?!
Mariota uncorks a garbage throw straight to rookie Ahkello Witherspoon, who not only gets his first interception, but also his first touchdown of his career.
Thanks for a competitive game, Indy. I cranked up the sliders a bit, which almost made the Eagles lose a game, but the Vikings didn't even blink. This team is legit.

Game Summary
There isn't a lot to recap here. The Colts were able to put the brakes on the Vikings offense in the first half, but their offense was so abysmal that the Vikings offense got too many chances. With several 90+ OVR players on defense, I had trouble running the ball in the 1st half, as Howard had just 31 yards by halftime. I was able to beat them with the short passing game, and eventually, things opened up.
Some players who had good games were Pat White and Stefon Diggs. White has begun to push for the #2 HB job with some dynamic plays. Diggs has been incredibly impressive as the 4th WR, as he's making big plays outside the hash marks. He hasn't been dropping balls as usual. The O-line was also great, allowing 0 sacks and little pressure on Smith. Tyrone Kelly and Jack Conklin had fantastic outings.
Meanwhile, there wasn't a single guy on defense who I would say had a bad game. Everyone is simply dominating at this point.
I was able to put the backups in the game in the 4th quarter.
Eagles Update: Eagles 24, Cardinals 10
The score may not look it, but the Eagles almost lost this game. They trailed throughout the entire 3rd quarter 10-7. They lost QB Matt Ryan, HB Knile Davis, and WR Marquess Wilson to injury, and the offense just died on them. Arizona isn't even that good, so it was shocking to see the Eagles only have a 7 point lead in the final 2 minutes. A Carson Wentz fumble taken to the house made it a 14 point win, but Philly fans are nervous. The Vikings are clearly the superior team at the moment.
Coming Soon:
Next up, the Vikings will take on the 1-2 Titans at home. Their QB is an ancient Matt Leinart, and their roster is comprised of a bunch of former Eagles that I have no use for. This shouldn't be a hard matchup.
